15-year-old injured in Chesapeake . shooting


A 15-year-old boy was injured in a shooting in Chesapeake Saturday afternoon.

Chesapeake Police responded to a report of shots fired at approximately 1:23 p.m., according to a press release.

When they arrived at the 2000 block of Linster Street, near the Hunters Point Apartments, officers found a 15-year-old with a gunshot wound.

He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident is still under investigation and Chesapeake police said there is currently no suspicious description available for release.
