2021 Suzuki GSX-S1000 to be unveiled on April 26, 2021

Suzuki has released a new teaser video which gives the first glimpse of an updated naked Suzuki GSX-S1000 liter-class, which will be officially unveiled on April 26, 2021. The teaser video only gives a glimpse of the updated motorcycle. day, but what is clear is that the styling of the bike has been completely redesigned, and from what we can tell it looks good. The rather outdated halogen headlight has been replaced with a few vertically stacked LED lights, but the biggest change is a pair of fins that have been added to the fairing.

The general position of the motorcycle, seen in profile, more or less resembles the current model. What is not clear is whether the new fins were added simply to improve the aerodynamics and downforce of the same 148bhp four-cylinder engine, or if there are updates to the powertrain. Considering how Suzuki chose for the updated Hayabusa, it seems unlikely that the bare liter class will get full updates or new units in the powertrain and chassis department. With just 148 hp, the GSX-S1000 may not boast of 200 hp, but from what we experienced a few years ago, it’s still a smooth bike, with more than enough of punch to keep almost anyone entertained.

The gold-finished upside-down forks add a premium touch, and the bike should get an updated feature list, perhaps including Bluetooth connectivity and better electronics. More details will be revealed when the bike is finally officially announced, so it won’t be too much of a wait.
