HONG KONG: China’s Internet Security Authority has launched an investigation into China’s National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), about a month after the market regulator targeted the online academic database with an antitrust probe .
China’s Cyberspace Administration said on its website that the investigation was aimed at “preventing national data security risks, protecting national security and safeguarding the public interest” and said it had summoned the leadership of CNKI for a meeting.
