CHATHAM (TUSEN) – A teenager was bitten by a coyote this week while eating in Chatham Beach.
It happened Monday at Harding’s Beach around 8 p.m.
A 16-year-old was sitting on a blanket eating with a friend when the coyote approached and bit him on the right ankle.
As the two teenagers fled, the coyote picked up food and made its way to the dunes.
The city plans to put up coyote warning signs in the area.
