Eminem and Snoop Dogg Become BAYC Characters in New Music Video

Only a year and a half ago, there seemed to be bad feelings between Snoop Dogg and Eminem, who are both Dr. Dre’s proteges. Now the legendary rappers have a new music video where they are featured as Bored Apes.

Eminem tweeted on June 24 that a new song titled “From The D 2 The LBC” would be released. The post included the unique art of the song, which was comic book style with two cartoon monkeys representing both Snoop Dogg and Slim Shady and their connection to the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC). He quickly followed up with another tweet announcing the video.

The two hip-hop legends have come together to release a new music video for their followers. This time they introduced the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), a collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) built on the Ethereum blockchain.

Titled “From The D 2 The LBC,” the new clip shows Eminem and Snoop Dogg in animated monkey characters. It was produced by 1st AMENDMENT and Young California, in collaboration with the BAYC.

The song has the two shouting out their respective hometowns, Detroit and Long Beach, in its chorus:

“Put your doobies high if you reside at 213, see the blunts rise / Whether you’re on the east side or the west side of 313, see the guns blaze.”

The video then cuts to Em and Snoop as they perform their verses while transforming into Bored Ape-style animated avatars – the song was recently previewed live at Ape Fest 2022 by the duo.

It should be noted that both Eminem and Snoop are already familiar with the world of NFTs, having ventured there before. As reported by TUSEN, Eminem, also known as Marshall Mathers III, purchased an NFT from OpenSea’s NFT marketplace for $462,000 and became a member of the Bored Ape Yacht Club.
