A father who threw his two young daughters off a boat into the ocean in revenge for his ex-wife had previously suffocated them, an autopsy report has confirmed.
Tomas Gimeno Casanas, 37, murdered his two daughters in the Atlantic Ocean off Tenerife, in the Canary Islands, in revenge for his ex-wife, who went by the name Beatriz Zimmermann.
The evil father threw the bodies of 6-year-old Olivia Gimeno Zimmermann and 14-month-old Anna Gimeno Zimmermann into the sea because he never wanted them to be found.
He is said to have committed suicide in the boat in the same place where he had dumped the bodies, after returning to shore to take cigarettes and recharge his phone.
The eldest daughter and the father’s body were eventually found, but Anna’s body is still missing.
An autopsy report has just confirmed that the two children were strangled before being thrown overboard.
Oliva, the eldest of the sisters, suffered a death consistent with “mechanical suffocation by strangulation”.
His body, wrapped in a duffel bag and tied to an anchor, was recovered from a depth of around 1,000 meters (3,281 ft).
In the UK, a schoolgirl was killed by her father in a murder-suicide in which he set fire to their house and locked them both inside after a text message where the child told his grandmother “dad scares me”, concluded a coroner.
The inquest into the deaths of Hull student Paige Bolton and her father concluded on Monday afternoon when Deputy Coroner Ian Sprakes said he believed Garry Bolton deliberately started the fire, without any logical explanation for the fire being started accidentally.

Mr Bolton had died in the fire in the early hours of January 25, 2020, at the house where he lived with his 10-year-old daughter Paige, Hull Live reported.
Firefighters had to break into the property using a saw and then discovered the two victims lying together in the bathtub.
