Funeral set in Indiana for congressman killed in crash


GRANGER, Ind. (TUSEN) – The funeral of Republican US Representative Jackie Walorski of Indiana will be held next week in her home state of Indiana, where she and three other people were killed in a head-on collision on the highway.

Walorski, who was 58, was in an SUV with two members of her staff on Wednesday when, for unknown reasons, he crossed the median of a highway in northern Indiana and collided with an oncoming vehicle near the town of Wakarusa, it said. the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office.

Potts was Walorski’s district director and the Republican chairman of northern Indiana’s St. Joseph County.

Walorski, 58, was first elected to represent Northern Indiana’s 2nd congressional district in 2012 and this year was seeking reelection to a sixth term in the solid Republican district. Walorski was one of the House Republicans who voted against certifying the electoral votes in Arizona and Pennsylvania for President Joe Biden after the Capitol uprising.
