Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) leg thrower Yuzvendra Chahal took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a photo of himself with his wife Dhanashree Verma, who is wearing a big smile. “I love the gains on me and the glow on his face,” Chahal wrote, appreciating how much of an impact her infectious smile had on him. Chahal and Dhanashree tied the knot in December of last year and the couple recently released their wedding film, which became a huge hit on YouTube.

Chahal is currently in Chennai where RCB is scheduled to play his first three league matches. RCB will kick off its 2021 IPL campaign against reigning champions Mumbai Indians on April 9, which will be Chahal’s 100th game in the cash-rich league.

Chahal was one of RCB’s most notable performers last time in the UAE, picking up 21 wickets in 15 matches. With MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai known for its spin-friendly pitches, Chahal would be eager to perform and give their team a head start in the tournament as they look to get their hands on the elusive title.

The 30-year-old spinner has been a mainstay of RCB’s bowling attack. It has 121 wickets of 99 IPL matches and what has stood out over the years is its decent saving rate of 7.67 races per over, especially when Mr. Chinnaswamy Stadium, where he has played the majority of matches IPL, is renowned for its high scoring matches.
