ROME: Italy’s Enel will set up a new company dedicated to digital network services, which targets a turnover of 1.5 billion euros ($ 1.76 billion) by 2030, reported on Wednesday. newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore.
The operator, the largest public utility in Europe, will create the company Gridspertise by splitting all its activities, including digital meters and smart grid services.
The shareholding of the newly formed company could be open to new investors for minority stake as early as next year, the report adds.
