Prasidh Krishna fired Shreyas Iyer for a duck in the tour match against Leicestershire
India got off to a bad start on the first day of the tour match against Leicestershire as batters struggled in bowling friendly conditions after skipper Rohit Sharma decided to strike first in winning the coin toss. Fly-half Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill gave the team a decent start, but there was a mid-order slump after the pair were fired.
There are a few Indian players playing for Leicestershire, a move that would give most players in the squad some playing time. Two of those players are frontline dressmakers Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna.
And it was the latter who gave the touring Indians a punch by dismissing middle-order hitter Shreyas Iyer for a duck.

Iyer went for an expansive drive to a delivery that dropped sharply after pitching and got a slight inside edge on his way to the Rishabh Pant gloves.
Quick dismissals of Hanuma Vihari (3), Shreyas Iyer (0) and Ravindra Jadeja (13) meant India lost half their squad for just 81 runs.

A win or draw in the next rearranged Test against England would give the Indians a much-awaited series win on English soil 15 years from now.
