Kinzinger highlights Trump’s pressure on Justice Department during Jan. 6 hearing

CHICAGO (TUSEN) – The spotlight is on former President Donald Trump’s campaign to get the Justice Department to help him in his failed bid to stay in power.

US Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) took the lead in questions.

“President Trump ultimately wanted the Justice Department to say the election was, in quotes, ‘corrupt.’ Department senior management refused,” Kinzinger said.

Three officials from the Trump administration’s Justice Department took the witness table.
