A Lexington police officer was injured Wednesday afternoon after being attacked by a police dog, police say.
The incident happened just before 4 p.m. at the Lexington Police Canine Center. Police say an officer was cleaning a kennel when they were attacked by a K9 police officer.
The officer was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The officer was in stable condition Wednesday evening.
The dog was not injured in the incident, police said.
