Louisville man killed in Thanksgiving Day shooting in Russell, police say


A man was shot dead in the Russell neighborhood of Louisville on Thanksgiving Day.

First Division officers responded to a report of a shooting near 31st Street and River Park Drive around 6 p.m., according to a release from the Louisville Metro Police. When LMPD arrived at the scene, officers found a person shot multiple times, the statement said. The person was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital in critical condition, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The person who was killed has not been identified and no other information is available.
