Nicola Peltz Beckham reflects on people who “hurt my heart” in tearful selfies

Nicola Peltz Beckham wants the world to know it’s okay not to feel okay.

The Transformers star, 27, wasn’t afraid to get vulnerable in a poignant Instagram post about how she’s coping with tough days and people trying to bring her down. Alongside her post, Nicola added a series of photos showing her crying in bed with a stuffed animal.

“Sometimes I find it hard to show the sad parts of me,” she wrote in her August 5 post. Growing up with seven siblings and two very strong parents made me very tough, they hammered me in not to let me down or hurt my heart. It made me put up such a wall to protect myself, especially in this industry.”

It’s a barrier she hopes to break in order to move forward.

“We all have days when people make you feel bad and it’s okay to be hurt by it,” she continued. “I thought I’d write something because I never show this side of me here. I wanted to show this side of me. I love you all so much and really appreciate all your support.”
