The preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle was traveling northbound on Aberdeen Road when it was hit by gunfire. Police believe this caused the driver to veer off the road and hit a fire hydrant before coming to a stop at the intersection.

From Friday morning 8.30 am, the motive and circumstances of the shooting are being investigated. The identity of the victim has not been released because the police have not informed the next of kin.
