Madhya Pradesh were touted as the underdogs heading to the Ranji Trophy final against 41-time champions Mumbai, but the side led by Aditya Shrivastava have really shown they belong at this level and they managed to create pressure on Prithvi Shaw’s team. In the early innings, Mumbai was running away with the game but Madhya Pradesh bowlers managed to take wickets at regular intervals and in the end Mumbai were knocked out for 374 with Sarfaraz Khan leading with 134.
Madhya Pradesh have been brilliant with the bat in their response so far and Yash Dubey and Shubham Sharma haven’t given an inch. Dubey broke the triple digit mark on day three of the current final and as soon as he hit the landmark, he celebrated like KL Rahul does.
Dubey placed both hands in his ears and did a “shut off the outside noise” celebration. BCCI Domestic’s official handle tweeted a video of the same.
