New spy photos of the upcoming Tata Punch micro SUV have appeared online, this time around we can finally see the interior of the car without any camouflage. Now, while the company has already posted photos of the new Punch, so far Tata Motors has not officially revealed the interior of the car. So yes, this is the first time we’ve seen the Tata Punch production booth. The photos are from a video posted by an enthusiast on YouTube, and judging by its looks, this one is the premium version of the Tata Punch. A different set of photos from a separate spy video also gives us a glimpse of two new two-tone colors.

Inside, the new Tata Punch comes with a clean, minimalist dashboard, treated with two-tone dark gray and white interior trims. We see protruding horizontal air conditioning vents with silver bezels, however, the highlight is the center glued display, which is similar to what we saw on the Altorz and Nexon. The infotainment system, which appears to be a 7-inch unit, will come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but we also expect the top model to receive Tata’s iRA connected car technology.

Other features we see here include – a flat-bottomed multifunctional steering wheel, a larger instrument cluster, a set of buttons and dials for various on-board functions, and a manual shifter. The punch also gets a fabric upholstery with a gray pattern, and while the center console has cup holders and space for other knick knacks, we don’t see the rear AC vents.

As mentioned above, another set of photos reveal two new two-tone color options for the Tata Punch. The first is metallic brown in color with a black roof, while the other is in light blue color with a black roof. Previous spy photos have already revealed an orange and black suit, while Tata has officially shown us a blue and white color suit. So one thing is for sure, the Punch will come with a vibrant one or two tone color palette to choose from.
As for the exterior features, the new Tata Punch will come with projector headlights with LED DRLs, and a sturdy black bumper, underbody and side cladding, which add to the rugged look of the car. The car also comes with square wheel arches, blackened pillars and false roof rails. At the rear, we see a sculpted design, with compact wrap-around LED taillights, a centrally placed ‘Punch’ logo, and a heavily wrapped rear bumper.
Engine options for the Tata Punch have yet to be revealed, however, we expect the new Punch to be fitted with a 1.2-liter Revotron gasoline engine, which also powers the premium Altorz sedan. The gasoline mill is tuned to produce 85 hp and 113 Nm of power. It’s likely to come with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard and an optional AMT unit.
