A company responsible for selling officially licensed plush toys of the mascots of the Tokyo Olympics is suspected of having given several million yen to a former director of Tokyo’s Olympic Organizing Committee, investigative sources said Friday, amid a growing bribery scandal.

Prosecutors are investigating whether Haruyuki Takahashi lobbied the commission to vote Sun Arrow in favor of selling plush toys for the Games, the sources said.
