More and more law firms are considering filing class action lawsuits against WWE following the recent Vince McMahon scandal. The number is up to seven now.
Brandon Thurston of WrestleNomics pointed out on Twitter that two other firms (Moore Kuehn, PLLC and Pomerantz Law Firm) issued press releases stating that they were investigating WWE for violations of securities laws on behalf of investors in the WWE.
The companies are seeking WWE shareholders who suffered a loss to participate in a class action lawsuit. They join other firms including Scott + Scott, Rosen Law Firm, Schall Law Firm, Brager Eagel & Squire and Labaton Sucharow.
They all referenced last week’s Wall Street Journal f report regarding Vince McMahon being investigated by the WWE Board of Directors for making a $3 million settlement to a former employee. for an alleged sexual relationship. The WWE Board of Directors is also reviewing misconduct allegations against McMahon and John Laurinaitis.
Laurinaitis has been placed on administrative leave. McMahon is still in charge of creation while temporarily stepping down as CEO and chairman.
