PHILADELPHIA (TUSEN) – Philadelphia police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of an elderly man during a morning walk Tuesday. Police say Loi Nguyen, 76, was shot and killed a few steps from his home as he completed his daily walk in the 4200 block of L Street on Tuesday morning.
Police released surveillance video of the shooting in hopes of identifying the suspect.

The video shows a person wearing a red hoodie running behind Nguyen before shooting him and fleeing the area.

Neighbors say this crime was particularly cruel given the age of the victim and the way it happened.

“He never left the block, so he was literally going down the alley, down Bristol, L, up L, back to Hunting Park and just going around,” Gianna Cianci said. .
The suspect is described as a light-skinned male. He wore a red hoodie, gray shorts and red sneakers.
