CHICAGO (TUSEN) – The thunderstorm system responsible for a rainy and windy Monday moved out of the area, allowing the winds to relax and the rain to cease.
A few occasional showers cannot be ruled out overnight until Tuesday morning, but most places will remain dry.

After a morning cloud cover, expect clear skies and windy conditions in the afternoon on Tuesday.
Additional sunshine will increase the treble through the mid-1950s. Not as windy on Tuesday, but a northeast breeze is expected at 10 to 15 miles per hour.
The high pressures will give rise to another fine day on Wednesday, with highs in the upper 50s, before a storm system sets in Thursday afternoon, producing another round of showers.

Numerous showers are expected Thursday afternoon and overnight, then scattered rain for Friday. Precipitation of up to three-quarters of an inch is possible.
It will be dry and cool this weekend with highs in the upper mid 50s. Low 50s for trick-or-treaters on Sunday evenings. It will be much colder early next week with highs only in the upper 40s and low 50s on Monday.
