Expect to see a shower popping up today as you move around. A strong line of thunderstorms will approach westward and begin to scrape the western fringes around noon.
The line then slowly migrates through the tri-state to Long Island early Friday morning. The Front takes off towards the sea with persistent rain expected until Friday.

Some storms could cause flooding and strong winds. Flood monitoring is in effect for much of our region. Serious risk is also possible. However, it’s more likely west of New York City.
The weekend is remarkably more pleasant with pleasant temperatures and sunny skies.
