CHICAGO (TUSEN) — A woman was rushed to hospital Friday afternoon from the site of a fire in the Ashburn neighborhood of the Southwest Side.
The fire broke out in a two-story apartment building at 3340 W. 79th St. The fire department called a still-and-box alarm for the necessary equipment and manpower.
A 61-year-old woman was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition, the fire service said.
The fire service said they would be on site for some time late Friday, because there was a lot of debris from hoarding.
